Arcana is the plural noun of the word Arcanum, which means mysterious or specialized knowledge, language, or information accessible or possessed only by the initiate.

“Arcana” is a reimagination of the 22 Major Arcana cards in tarot that represents life’s cycles and fundamental archetypes. The series is part one of a larger project titled “Still, Life”, through which the transient nature of being is explored via various depictions of memento mori.
